Currently, the economic downturn has affected the social conditions where we will see many families who are struggling and have to face poverty. This has led to the children’s lives being quite inefficient. The food they eat is scarce and they have to skip meals, leaving them with no food that will help their bodies and minds grow with quality. Santisuk Foundation has therefore set up a project to buy 20 kilograms of rice for 1 poor family so that they will have enough rice to eat every meal of the day. So that they can grow up and have a good quality of life in society.
Problems and solutions
The “poor families” found during the survey of the area, each family is living in hardship, with low income and uncertain income, and unstable occupations due to having to work hard to make a living. Some children have no parents to take care of them, live alone with their siblings, have to face the situation where their parents are in prison, lacking care from their parents, or live with patients and disabled people who cannot earn income to support their families. There is no cost to buy rice to cook for each meal.
“Poor families” who do not have enough rice to eat make their lives inefficient and they are hungry during the day. This makes them not eat 3 meals or not eat to their full stomach. The nutrients they receive are not enough to strengthen their bodies.
